The Nuffield Foundation aims to bring about improvements in society though funding research and practical experiment. Grants of between £5,000 and approximately £150,000 are available and are mainly for research, usually carried out by universities or independent research institutions but are also made for practical developments or innovation often in voluntary sector organisations.
