Indigo organised and managed a successful community fun day on behalf of Scotland's Garden Trust to help promote The Calyx, a landmark project for Perth and Scotland.

The aim of the fun day, which took place on 4th Feb, was to consult with the public regarding the plans for the Calyx, to find out opinions and allow the public to contribute ideas on the facilities they would like to see featured at the Calyx. The day was an amazing success with around 500 people from across Scotland showing up to give their support and ideas for the project.

Entertainment was provided for the whole family including an animal show and petting zoo, highland dancing, gardening masterclasses run by Jim McColl, and whisky tasting. Perth College and local students supported the event by providing free haggis, neeps and tatties for everyone that attended.


The Calyx is to be a multi-million pound visitor and community attraction and centre of excellence for horticulture training and education. The centre will be of national significance featuring gardens, educational activities, children’s play areas, a café and restaurant, retail, interactive displays, art installations/sculptures, environmental demonstrations and much more!

Scotland’s Garden Trust are keen to ensure that the final project accurately reflects an attraction that people would like to attend again and again.
