Tourism... People... Experience...

1. We provided the business planning, community consultation, strategy development and fund-raising support needed to aid the development of The Calyx tourism and community resource, which was shortlisted for the BIG Lottery Fund’s Living Landmarks grant programme. We’ve worked with Scotland’s Garden Trust since 2004 to develop this landmark project. Achievements include making the short list for a grant of £25 million (only three Scottish projects made the final list). Plus, a community fun-day which was expected to attract 200 visitors, saw an unexpected 500 people attend, far exceeding expectations.

2. We’re currently working with Save Our Bay, a North Queensferry Community Group aiming to save their area from commercial development. West Bay offers tourists unique views of the iconic Forth Rail Bridge, but buildings and green spaces in the area are neglected and the full tourism potential is being missed. We are in the process of testing feasibility and developing a range of initiatives, enabling the Group to identify opportunities and develop sustainable projects that will benefit the local community and attract more tourists to the area.
