GO - Start Your Own Social Enterprise... Dragons' Den Competition...

Are you interested in starting up your own business?

If you’re interested in finding out more about starting up a social enterprise, come along to the Go event at Gean House on Wednesday 10th October. You will be able to learn from a variety of successful social enterprises, attend interactive informative workshops on topics such as "getting started", "avoiding common mistakes" and "sourcing funding". You will also be able to speak to advisers who can help you take the first steps or help you to develop an existing social enterprise.

– sessions running throughout the day on practical topics to help you start up and run a social enterprise successfully.

Marketing for social enterprise – Understand your market and your competition, identifying your USP and develop a brand. Support provided by leading social enterprises and marketing consultants.

Funding for social enterprise – Information provided by grant providers, funding managers within social enterprises, leading banks and funding consultants

Legal structures for social enterprises – including information on Community Interest Companies, Limited companies, Charitable status, Tax and VAT considerations

SURE Ltd are running a competition as part of a project part-financed by the European Regional Development Fund. The successful organisation will win £5,000 worth of consultancy support to help with the business development of their social enterprise. This support could cover business planning, feasibility testing, market analysis, financial planning, legal advice or marketing support which will ultimately help organisations to exploit new markets or to develop new social enterprises.
